The Hof dog was born in 1959 and is pure Carlsberg pedigree. It was designed by the Danish illustrator Kjeld Nielsen who took his inspiration from a popular tune by the famous Danish designer and poet Poul Henningsen. Later, in 1968, the HOF dog reemerged on small enamel signs with philosophical statements.
